Wednesday November 18th

 Today we are getting into groups and looking at designs for our robots as well as finishing the inventory kits.  We are meeting every Wednesday from 3:15 to 5:00 pm.

Welcome pierce to a new year or robotics.Today we are organizing 

the sets so we can start building our robots.This year we are meeting on Wednesdays  from 3:15-5:00 so watch out for our weekly blog.

Our last practice before the Competition

   

       Pierce Robotics Team is working hard to get ready for May 2nd's competition. We have two of our teams advancing towards Saturday's Competition. We are working efficiently towards our goal to get to the finals at Lawrence Tech University. 

      Now in our final stretch in reaching the May 2nd competition we are confident that we are prepared for it.

Getting ready for May 2nd Michigan Championship

Today, Thursday April 23rd, our team is getting ready for the Michigan championships on May 2nd at Lawrence Tech University. The qualifying team is going to take a practice table and the robot home.

      Currently, the Pierce Middle School Robotics team has 5 more practices before the May 2nd competition. We are working hard and focusing on getting an accurate measurement of the rectangle, an important component in the competition. For the next 5 days we will be meeting for 2 hours, so we can get the most work done in this time period. We are confident in our ability to finish.

On Friday, March 13th we had a Robofest competition and placed in 8th, 10th, and 14th place.  We will still be meeting, but only two  hours a week.  Here are some of the pictures we took.  One of our teams is going to the state competition.

Today we got our team's t-shirts.  The teams are finishing their programming and making their last minute adjustments to their robots.  Tomorrow is our final competition from 4:00 pm-9:00 pm.

Saturday Practice Competition at Lawrence Tech Univercity

 At Lawrence Tech on Saturday we practiced to see what the actual competition would be on March 13th. Our teams scored 3rd, 5th and 8th

Today, February 18th, We are putting on our finishing touches to our programs and robots for our practice competition at Lawrence Tech University on Saturday.

Hitting the Bottle

This is our first attempt at hitting the water bottles.

This is an animation of what the challenge is for us to do with our robots. It has to measure the rectangle and knock over the water bottles with only 7 tennis balls.
